Reference topologies — APs fed from PoE switches under a router or AC controller, scaling from a single outdoor square to a multi-zone campus with core and access layers.
APH6-AX5400 IP67 cast-aluminium housing operating in snow and desert conditions
IP67 industrial-grade protection — cast aluminium alloy housing, dust-tight and sealed against immersion, with surge protection and corrosion resistance across a -40°C to +70°C operating range.
Four N-type connectors on the base of the ANT-O2458-10 antenna with jumper cables attached
Four N-type ports on the antenna base — two feeding the 2.4GHz elements, two feeding 5GHz — matched one-to-one with the four detachable antenna connectors on the APH6-AX5400 via the supplied 0.5m jumper cables.
Visualisation of the flat 360 degree coverage disc produced by the ANT-O2458-10 high-gain omni antenna on a pole-mounted APH6 access point
A high-gain omni radiates 360° around the mast in a flat disc rather than a sphere — the pattern that suits resorts, marinas, golf courses and industrial yards, where coverage has to travel outward across open ground from a single elevated point.
Vertical coverage comparison between the stock 6dBi antennas and the ANT-O2458-10 10dBi high-gain omni
Swapping antennas reshapes coverage rather than simply extending it. The stock elements radiate over a wide vertical angle, keeping signal strong near the mast; the optional ANT-O2458-10 concentrates the same energy into a 6° vertical pattern — far greater reach across open ground, at the cost of a weaker zone directly below a tall mast.

The APH6-AX5400 is a high-speed dual-band Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point delivering up to 5400Mbps combined throughput. Built with a durable metal housing, an integrated Gigabit SFP port for fiber backhaul, and Gigabit PoE support, it is designed for enterprise, industrial, and large-venue outdoor deployments that demand both speed and long-term reliability.

Ideal For

  • Enterprise outdoor campuses and corporate facility networks
  • Factories, farms, and industrial site wireless coverage
  • Large outdoor venues, stadiums, and events
  • ISP outdoor hotspot deployments requiring fiber backhaul
  • Resorts, golf courses, and large hospitality properties

Deployment Advantages

The AX5400 class Wi-Fi 6 chipset provides a significant throughput advantage over standard AX3000 outdoor APs, making it the right choice for high-bandwidth scenarios such as HD video distribution, large concurrent device loads, or enterprise backhaul links. The Gigabit SFP port provides direct fiber integration, eliminating copper distance limitations in long-reach deployments.

The metal housing offers superior structural durability compared to plastic enclosures, extending the device lifespan in harsh industrial or coastal environments. Combined with IP67 sealing, a -40°C to +70°C operating range, and PoE support, installation is straightforward across a wide range of mounting scenarios.

Optional 10dBi High-Gain Antenna

The four external antennas are detachable N-type, which makes antenna gain a specifiable option rather than a fixed property of the AP. For sites where one mast has to cover a large open area, the standard elements can be replaced with the ANT-O2458-10 dual-band MIMO omni: a single 850mm radome (Φ75mm, 2.1kg) with four ports — two for 2.4GHz, two for 5GHz — connected to the AP by 0.5m N-male jumper cables included in the kit. Coverage spans 2400–2500MHz and 5150–5850MHz at 10dBi per band, with VSWR ≤1.5, 100W power handling, 140km/h wind rating, and -40°C to +65°C operation.

Pairing the high-gain antenna with the AX5400 radio is aimed at a specific case: a large open venue that needs both reach and throughput — resort grounds, golf courses, stadium concourses, marinas, industrial yards, and event sites where a fiber-fed mast serves hundreds of clients spread across the property.

The gain is not free. A 10dBi omni radiates 360° horizontally but compresses the vertical pattern to roughly 6°, concentrating energy into a flat disc. Clients far out on the same plane benefit; clients directly beneath a tall mast or on upper floors of nearby buildings may see weaker signal than with the stock antennas, so multi-storey and short-radius high-density sites are better served by the standard configuration. Higher antenna gain also increases effective radiated power, and installations must remain within the EIRP limits of the destination market (CE, FCC, or local equivalent), typically by trimming AP transmit power.

The ANT-O2458-10 is configured and quoted together with the AP — with a new order or as a service part for an existing MossLink deployment — and is not offered as a standalone retail item. Share your site dimensions, mast height, and target market with us and we will confirm the configuration to quote.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum wireless speed of the APH6-AX5400?
The APH6-AX5400 delivers up to 5400Mbps combined wireless throughput using Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) technology. This high-speed performance makes it suitable for HD video streaming, high-demand enterprise applications, and large-scale outdoor events requiring fast, reliable connectivity.
What makes the SFP port useful for outdoor deployments?
The integrated Gigabit SFP port allows the APH6-AX5400 to connect directly to fiber backbone networks, enabling long-distance, high-stability backhaul — ideal for large campus deployments, ISP outdoor installations, or any network topology where fiber infrastructure is already in place.
Is the APH6-AX5400 suitable for factories and farms?
Yes. The IP67-rated cast-aluminium housing and omnidirectional antennas make the APH6-AX5400 well suited for industrial sites, farms, and large outdoor venues where reliable long-range Wi-Fi coverage and durability are essential.
Can the APH6-AX5400 be fitted with higher-gain antennas?
Yes. All four external antennas use detachable N-type connectors, so they can be replaced with the ANT-O2458-10 high-gain omni — one 850mm radome with four ports (two 2.4GHz, two 5GHz) linked to the AP by 0.5m N-male jumper cables, covering 2400–2500MHz and 5150–5850MHz at 10dBi on both bands. This extends single-mast coverage across resorts, golf courses, marinas, and industrial yards. Note the trade-off: a 10dBi omni narrows the vertical pattern to about 6°, so areas directly under a tall mast or on upper floors nearby may receive less signal than with the stock antennas, and total EIRP must stay within local CE/FCC limits. The antenna is quoted as an option with the AP rather than sold separately — send us your site layout and we will confirm the configuration.
