ANT-O2458-10
The ANT-O2458-10 is a dual-band 10dBi MIMO omnidirectional antenna for MossLink APH6 series outdoor access points. A single 850mm radome houses four elements — two for 2.4GHz, two for 5GHz — terminated in four N-female ports and connected to the AP with the four 0.5m N-male jumper cables supplied in the kit. It replaces the AP’s stock 6dBi antennas without any change to the access point itself.
The reason to fit a high-gain omni is not simply “more signal”. It is a change in the shape of coverage.
Stock 6dBi antennas radiate over a wide vertical angle: signal spreads outward and downward, keeping clients near the mast well served but limiting how far coverage travels. The ANT-O2458-10 takes the same transmit power and compresses it into a 6° vertical pattern across a full 360° horizontally — a flat disc rather than a sphere. Clients spread across open ground at roughly the antenna’s height gain substantially; clients directly beneath a tall mast can end up in a weaker zone than they were before.
That trade-off decides whether this antenna belongs on your site.
In these cases the stock antennas outperform the 10dBi option despite the lower gain number. Fitting a high-gain omni to the wrong site produces worse coverage, not better.
Raising antenna gain raises effective radiated power. Installations must remain within the EIRP limits of the destination market — CE, FCC, or the local equivalent — which usually means reducing the access point’s transmit power to compensate. MossLink can advise on the configuration for a given market, but compliance at the installation site remains the installer’s responsibility.
The antenna is rated for exposed mast installation: 140km/h wind loading, -40°C to +65°C operating range, and DC-ground lightning protection on all elements, matching the environmental class of the APH6 access points it pairs with. Pole clamps, U-bolts, a wall bracket, waterproof cable glands, and fixings are supplied, so the antenna and AP mount on the same mast without additional hardware.
The ANT-O2458-10 is quoted as a configured option with APH6-AX3000 or APH6-AX5400 access points, or as a service part for an existing MossLink installation — it is not sold as a standalone retail item. OEM and ODM options include radome colour, jumper cable lengths, connector variants, and private-label packaging bundled with the APs. Send us your site dimensions, mast height, and target market and we will confirm whether the high-gain option suits the deployment before quoting.
