The S402E-Outdoor is a compact 6-port outdoor PoE switch with an IP65-rated weatherproof enclosure, four 802.3af/at PoE ports (30W each, 65W total), and EXTEND mode supporting 250m long-distance power and data transmission. The 250m EXTEND mode addresses one of the most common challenges in outdoor surveillance installation: cable run length. Standard PoE is limited to 100m, but EXTEND mode at 10Mbps provides power and HD camera data at distances up to 250m — sufficient for most outdoor perimeter camera placements without signal boosters or additional equipment.
AI Watchdog eliminates the most common support call for outdoor camera systems — a frozen camera that needs a power cycle. The switch autonomously detects the unresponsive device and restores it, typically within seconds. Combined with IP65 sealing against rain, dust, and temperature extremes from -10°C to +55°C, the S402E-Outdoor requires minimal maintenance after installation.
