The ZW500 is a 2.5G multi-WAN enterprise smart gateway built on the MediaTek MT7986A quad-core 2.0GHz platform, delivering up to 5Gbps NAT forwarding through dual 2.5GbE ports and four Gigabit LAN/WAN convertible ports. A built-in AC controller centrally manages up to 128 access points while the gateway serves 500 concurrent users, combining Layer-7 flow control, multi-WAN load balancing, behavior management, VPN, and SD-WAN in a single 1U rackmount appliance (440 × 284 × 44 mm). Carrier-grade hardware with 6KV surge protection, a metal chassis, and dual-fan cooling keeps mid-to-large commercial networks fast and stable around the clock.

Network Control & Load Balancing
The MediaTek MT7986A quad-core platform sustains up to 5Gbps of NAT forwarding, so the dual 2.5GbE uplinks never become the bottleneck. Multiple internet lines can be aggregated across the 2.5GbE WAN and the four Gigabit LAN/WAN convertible ports, with intelligent load balancing weighted by IP address, session count, ISP, bandwidth, external-line status, time, or small-packet priority. Policy routing and automatic line backup keep traffic flowing when an upstream link degrades.
Layer-7 application identification drives bandwidth limiting and bandwidth guarantee policies, so critical applications stay responsive when the network is busy — “more capacity per user when it’s quiet, smooth performance when it’s full.” Built-in behavior management blocks P2P and Thunder downloads, restricts games, filters web pages, and controls chat applications, with flexible rules built from IP groups and time groups.
Built-in AC & Secure Access
An integrated AC controller manages up to 128 access points directly from the gateway — batch template provisioning for 2.4G and 5.8G radios, automatic signal optimization, 802.11k/v/r seamless roaming, weak-signal and low-rate client steering, wireless black/white lists, and DHCP protection. PPPoE server, Web portal, and RADIUS authentication control who joins the network and support local billing, while IPSec, L2TP, and PPTP VPN plus SD-WAN one-click networking securely connect remote sites. Remote operation through the web GUI and cloud platform lets administrators monitor, configure, and upgrade the device from anywhere.
OEM/ODM Ready
MossLink offers OEM and ODM customization for the ZW500, including custom firmware features, web UI branding and localization, port configuration changes, enclosure branding, and private-label packaging. Full cloud-platform white-labeling is a separately scoped program for selected models, with setup and committed-volume requirements; it is not a default ZW500 feature. Volume pricing is available for system integrators, hospitality chains, ISPs, and enterprise distributors.
