POE-PA24W PoE injector in both output versions — 24V 1A and 48V 0.5A, each 24W
Two output versions in an identical housing: 24V 1A and 48V 0.5A, both 24W. The units cannot be told apart by sight — specify the voltage your powered device requires when ordering.

The POE-PA24W is a single-port Gigabit PoE injector that adds Power over Ethernet to a network run without replacing the switch. It takes universal AC input (90–264V) and delivers 24W over the Ethernet cable, available in two output versions — 24V 1A or 48V 0.5A — specified per order.

When You Need an Injector

A PoE injector solves a specific problem: one or two devices need power over the network cable, but the switch feeding them does not supply it. Rather than replacing a working switch with a PoE model, the injector sits inline on that single run — AC in, data and power out over one cable.

Typical cases are a single access point added to an existing office network, a camera at the end of a run, or a bench setup where the installer needs to power and configure a device before it goes to site. For deployments with more than a handful of PoE devices, a PoE switch is cleaner and cheaper per port.

Two Versions, One Housing

The 24V and 48V versions share the same enclosure, the same ports, and the same 24W rating — the only difference is output voltage. They cannot be told apart by sight. Specify the voltage when ordering, match it to what the powered device documents, and label units on arrival if you stock both.

Getting this wrong is the most common failure mode with injectors. Voltage applied to equipment not designed to accept it on those cable pairs can damage the device, and the RJ45 connector fits regardless. Check the powered device’s documented input before connecting — a matching connector is not confirmation of compatibility.

Where the 24V Version Belongs

MossLink’s passive-PoE wireless bridges — the WB510C, WB630, WB730 and similar models — run on 24V 1A passive PoE and ship with adapters in the box. This SKU is normally ordered as a spare or replacement for those links: a lost adapter on a live site, a spare kept in the van, or bulk stock for an installer maintaining a fleet of bridges.

The 48V version is supplied for equipment documented to accept 48V on the cable pairs. Confirm against the device’s own documentation before ordering.

Not for 802.3at or 802.3af Devices

This injector supplies a fixed output rather than performing the IEEE 802.3af/at detection handshake. Standards-based powered devices — including the APH6-AX3000 and APH6-AX5400 outdoor access points (802.3at) and the AP240 and AP3000G (802.3af) — expect that handshake before they draw power, and should be fed from a PoE switch port or a standards-compliant injector of the matching class. Ask us if you are unsure which source a given MossLink model needs; we would rather answer the question than replace a damaged unit.

Surge Protection and Placement

The injector carries ±6kV differential and ±6kV common-mode surge protection, useful on runs that leave the building. The housing is rated 0°C to +40°C for indoor use only: in outdoor deployments it belongs in the equipment room or cabinet, with only the Ethernet cable running out to the pole.

Ordering

The injector ships with a 1m cable and a plug type of your choice — US, EU, UK or AU — and distributors shipping to several regions can split plug types across a single order. The universal 90–264V input means one unit covers every mains standard; only the plug changes.

MossLink supplies PoE accessories to integrators and distributors with OEM and ODM options including housing colour, label and packaging branding, plug and cable-length variants, and private-label packaging. Minimum order quantities apply — contact us with your target quantity and destination market.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which MossLink products use the 24V version?
The 24V 1A version is the supply used by MossLink's passive-PoE wireless bridges, including the [WB510C](/wireless-bridges/wb510c/), [WB630](/wireless-bridges/wb630/) and [WB730](/wireless-bridges/wb730/) — those kits ship with adapters included, so this SKU is normally ordered as a spare or replacement for an installed link. The 48V version is supplied for customer equipment documented to accept 48V on the cable pairs; confirm the requirement against the device's own documentation rather than assuming.
Which version do I need — 24V or 48V?
Match the voltage to the powered device, not to the cable run. Devices documented for 24V PoE need the 24V 1A version; devices expecting 48V need the 48V 0.5A version. Both deliver 24W. The two units are physically identical and cannot be distinguished by sight once unboxed, so confirm the requirement before ordering and label units on arrival if you stock both.
Can this injector power 802.3af or 802.3at access points?
No. Standards-based powered devices — the APH6-AX3000 and APH6-AX5400 (802.3at), the AP240 and AP3000G (802.3af) — perform a detection handshake with the power source before drawing current, and expect a compliant PSE. This injector supplies a fixed output instead, and is intended for equipment documented for that supply. Feed standards-based access points from a PoE switch port or an injector of the matching class.
What happens if I connect it to the wrong device?
Applying a PoE voltage to equipment not designed to accept it on those cable pairs can damage the device. This is the main practical difference from a standards-based 802.3af/at injector, which negotiates with the powered device before energising the cable. Always check the powered device's documented power input before connecting, and never assume a device accepts injected power because the connector fits.
Which AC plug types are available?
US, EU, UK and AU plug types are all available — specify the market when ordering, and mixed plug types across a single order are supported for distributors shipping to multiple regions. The universal AC 90–264V input means the same unit works on any mains supply worldwide; only the plug differs. The default cable length is 1m, and other lengths can be quoted for volume orders.
Is OEM/ODM customization available?
Yes. MossLink supports OEM and ODM options for PoE accessories including housing colour, label and packaging branding, regional AC plug types, and cable lengths. Minimum order quantities apply. Contact us to discuss your project requirements.
What is the MOQ for the POE-PA24W?
Standard POE-PA24W orders start at 100 units. Logo and packaging customization (OEM) also starts at 100 units, custom firmware at 500 units, and custom hardware (ODM) at 1,000 units. Contact sales with your target quantity for a formal quotation.
Can I get a sample of the POE-PA24W before bulk ordering?
Yes. We supply 1–5 evaluation units at product cost plus shipping, and the sample fee is credited toward your first bulk order. Contact us via email or WhatsApp with the model number to arrange a sample.
What is the lead time for the POE-PA24W?
In-stock units ship within 3–5 business days. Bulk production orders typically require 3–4 weeks, and OEM/ODM orders with customization take 4–8 weeks depending on complexity. Rush production is available at additional cost.
Is the POE-PA24W certified for my market?
The POE-PA24W carries CE, FCC, and RoHS certification as standard. Additional certifications for specific markets (IC, TELEC, NCC, etc.) can be arranged through our ODM service.
How is product quality controlled before shipment?
Every unit undergoes 100% inspection and 24-hour burn-in testing before leaving the factory, and a signed QC report ships with every order — full traceability from component to delivery.
What payment terms do you accept?
Standard terms are a 30% deposit with order confirmation and the 70% balance before shipment, paid in USD via T/T. Letter of credit and flexible terms are available for established partners.
