The WR3000U Pro is the 512MB-RAM edition of MossLink’s AX3000 Wi-Fi 6 OpenWrt router, built on the MediaTek MT7981 (Filogic 820) dual-core platform and delivering AX3000 (574 + 2402 Mbps) for 128+ concurrent clients. The extra memory over the standard WR3000U gives more headroom for high client density, multiple VPN tunnels, and larger OpenWrt package sets. A SuperSpeed USB 3.0 port adds 4G/5G modem failover and USB storage sharing, while six 5dBi antennas, Easy Mesh, and TR-069 management make it a versatile gateway for demanding commercial, IoT, and ISP CPE deployments.

More Memory for Heavier Workloads

The WR3000U Pro upgrades system RAM from 256MB to 512MB while keeping the rest of the WR3000U specification identical — same MT7981 platform, AX3000 dual-band radios, USB 3.0 port, six 5dBi antennas, and gigabit ports. The additional memory matters when the router is doing more than routing: running multiple VPN tunnels, servicing a large client count, or hosting extra OpenWrt packages for monitoring, ad-blocking, or captive-portal use.

Pre-installed OpenWrt unlocks deep control — package installation, VPN (PPTP/L2TP/IPSec server and client), VLAN, QoS, IPTV, DDNS, and IPv6/IPv4 dual stack. The USB 3.0 port accepts external 4G/5G modems for a redundant cellular WAN path, and TR-069 ACS support lets operators provision and manage devices remotely without on-site visits.
